You’re alarm goes off in the morning. You reach over and hit the snooze button without even opening your eyes. After 10 minutes, you hit the snooze button once again and drift off to sleep. Before you realize it, you only have 15 minutes to get yourself ready and leave for work. You hurriedly get out of bed, head to the mirror and stare at that untamable mess on top of your head. The question is, how are you going to deal with this untamable mess and still manage to get to work on time?
Here are a few tips to help you embrace and conquer your messy morning hair.
Brush it
This may sound obvious, but it works. Divide your hair into sections and give each section 10 strokes. If it looks decent enough, use a little hairspray or gel to hold the style all day.
Braid your hair the night before
If you are the type of person who showers at night, it would be a good idea to braid your hair in a loose French braid the night before while it’s wet. This way, you’ll wake up with beachy, boho waves and keep your hair from getting frizzy. Just shake out the braid in the morning and run your fingers through the waves.
Use dry shampoo
When it comes to embracing bed head, dry shampoo is your best friend. It can spruce up curls and volume from the day before, adds texture where you want it and dries up any oil in the hair.
Style it
You can try some easy hairstyles that looks like you’ve spent a lot of time getting ready. Gather your hair over one shoulder and put your hair in a messy side braid. To give it a boho vibe, pull out a few loose pieces. Another way to embrace your bed head is to tease your hair a bit and go with it.
