Quick and Easy Protein Shake : Protein Frosty Shake Recipe

This delicious shake is a dairy-free, gluten-free and soy-free version of a Frosty — yes, the one we all enjoyed as kids — fortified with DailyBurn Fuel-6, a plant-based protein source. Xanthan gum, a whitish powder that is a by-product of bacterial fermentation, helps thicken the treat (in place of fat). In this recipe, it’s an essential ingredient for getting that unmistakable Frosty consistency.

Serves 1

The Skinny

Per 16 oz. serving:

  • 261 cal
  • 6.5 g fat (.5 g saturated fat)
  • 30 g carbs
  • 510 mg sodium
  • 6 g fiber
  • 26 g protein
Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

2 scoops DailyBurn Fuel-6 in chocolate
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 banana
2 cups ice
½ teaspoon xanthan gum
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to blender, and blend until smooth.
